Plugged in the guitar runs the gamut from warm neck pickup to a more honky, biting bridge pickup tone. The pickguard is a reproduction as the original was lost.Įlectrically everything seems to be correct with some signs of solder joints being disturbed.Īcoustically this guitar has a pleasantly warm tone that certainly tips the hat to Gibson’s archtop heritage. The Bigsby is an early 60’s example that replaced the Epiphone tremolo which is included in the sale. The hardware shows some discoloration and some very slight pitting. The headstock is in good shape with a few minor chips and best part of all, this is a highly desired 43mm nut width Casino.

The neck is in superb condition with almost no wear. Yuki McClure of Player Grade Vintage purchased the guitar and restored it, filling in the hole and matching the grain as well as refinishing the new sections, leaving the original finish untouched.

The modification also extended to include controls for this pickup. In a past life this guitar was modified and fitted with a middle humbucker. The colour has faded a little but again this is not too extensive. Classic 60s Epiphone burst that seems to scream summertime, setting it apart from its ES-330 stablemates.
